Overview of Curriculum in our Learning Centres (Academics)

Our syllabus aligns with that of any well-reputed school to ensure academic consistency. This allows our students smooth transition to other schools if they ever need to relocate or change institutions. We place special emphasis on English and Computer skills to enhance our students’ employability immediately after Class X. Unlike children from privileged backgrounds, our students cannot afford to wait until the age of 20–24 to start earning. Many of them begin working right after high school, while continuing their education through distance learning programs offered by various universities.

Since most of our children lack academic support at home, we have developed customized workbooks and educational videos tailored to their learning needs. All instruction and practice happens at school, and we strive to provide them with the highest quality resources and support possible.

Guidance and Coaching for NIOS Secondary Examination (High School)

The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) is an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. It offers flexible and accessible education through open and distance learning, providing opportunities for school-level education (from elementary to senior secondary) to learners who are unable to attend regular schools / and some even earlier, including out-of-school children, working individuals, and marginalized communities. We offer a two-year comprehensive coaching program for such students. Children studying in our Centres begin preparing for the NIOS Secondary Exam soon after completing Class 6.

CLASS ROOMS and other Facility:  Our classroom are designed keeping in mind a modest but functional space to support basic learning needs while offering dignity and comfort to every child. These classrooms typically include:

  • Spacious, nicely lit and airy, with two fans in each classroom and an exhaust fan where needed.
  • Two classrooms are equipped with TV for children to watch lessons and poems etc.
  • CCTV in each classroom.
  • A water cooler, centrally placed, to access clean drinking water.
  • Simple benches and desks for seating. In some setups, children may sit in a circle on mats.
  • Essential teaching aids like blackboard, posters, charts etc.
  • Storage Shelf or Cupboard in each room for keeping books, learning aids, or student work organized and safe.

Computer Education:
In our Learning Centres, Computer education
begins from Class 3, with a focus on typing skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Each child gets hands-on experience, working individually on a computer for at least 20 minutes during each class.

Here's why Computer education so important:

  1. Basic Requirement for Many Jobs: From shops and offices to schools and small businesses, basic computer knowledge is now essential for roles like data entry, billing, administration, and customer support.
  2. Increased Employability: Employers prefer candidates who can use computers for emails, documentation, spreadsheets, and basic software tools. It gives job seekers an edge over others.
  3. Access to Government and Online Services: Many local jobs involve working with government schemes, online forms, and digital payments—all of which require computer literacy.
  4. Opportunities in Freelancing and Remote Work: Even in smaller towns or villages, individuals with computer skills can take up freelance through online platforms.
  5. Entrepreneurship and Self-Employment: Computer education helps individuals start small businesses—like cyber cafés, printing/photocopy shops, or digital services like online ticketing and form filling.
  6. Lifelong Learning: Once someone knows the basics, they can continue learning advanced skills like coding, design, or digital marketing to grow further.

HOME WORK  & TUITIONS
Many children do not have space or supportive environment at home to study or complete their homework. To help them succeed, we encourage them to return to school in the evenings, where we have teachers to provide guidance and academic support.
